Esar Ahmed, MMI general manager, receives award


December 7, 2015, Esar Ahmed, general manager of Marin Management’s La Quinta Inn, Livermore, was awarded Outstanding Lodging Staff Person by the California Lodging Industry Association (CLIA). This award recognizes an outstanding lodging staff person for his or her professionalism and dedication to the lodging industry. Esar began his career as an entrepreneur opening a family-owned business in electronics distribution and moved into hospitality in his college years. Over the past 20 years, he has worked with many different hotel brands, such as Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Four Points by Sheraton, Sheraton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hyatt and Hyatt Place.

Esar exemplifies excellence by keeping up-to-date on new developments that affect the industry and his responsibilities while implementing company policies. He fosters growth and enthusiasm in the area of sales and marketing and leads the sales effort of the hotel through direct sales calls and active community involvement. Because of this, he is well-known among meeting and event planners in Livermore’s Tri-Valley Area. Esar embraces additional responsibilities of his position because he genuinely cares about his performance, the hotel team and the investors.

Marin Management, Inc. has operated La Quinta Inn, Livermore for five years and is proud to have Esar Ahmed recognized for his contribution to the travel industry.
